Spanish pronunciation of the letter V is not Veh

by Don E.
(Ohio)

V is pronounced beh in Castillian just as B....only singers (record producers should be taken to task for that) and pretentious newscasters (and very few misguided folks that listen to these "cultured" folks and assume hey are right) pronounce it as an Italian or English V.

Do the Cow Test: it is pronounced baca not vaca...

Hi Don,
Thanks for your input. Yes there are many variances between Latin American Spanish and Castilian Spanish in the way certain words and letters are pronounced.
