For those interested in learning Spanish abroad, with use of a Spanish language school, program or course, you have come to the right place.
You have a much better chance of learning Spanish faster than you would with any other method. Without a doubt, the best way to learn Spanish is to learn by immersion.
There are so many programs out there for Spanish language study abroad, for any kind of student or situation. From days to weeks to months, to different tuition levels, from beginner to advanced. You can choose from those who give you credit for college to those who just teach you how to speak Spanish.
There are courses that are only months long, courses that are a year long, and for those who are extremely adventurous there are even programs available where you go overseas and actually live with a Spanish speaking family for a set period of time, and learn Spanish, and about the Spanish culture, or culture of the given country.
By learning Spanish abroad, you open up your world to new experiences and challenges that you may never have staying at home. The experience not only makes you more worldly, but it opens up your eyes to learning about other cultures and educating yourself about the rest of the world. It also helps you accept the differences that other people and their cultures have from yours and gives you a better knowledge and understanding of their particular trials and tribulations. The world is so big and there is so much culture out there to be studied and experienced.

Another good piece of advice is that if your ultimate goal is to learn Spanish, then try to speak Spanish only, don't let anyone speak to you in English, no matter how hard it gets. Carry a Spanish dictionary around with you at all times, and use it as much as you need to. Hang out with the locals as often as possible try to have conversations with them, even if it takes you five minutes to spit out one sentence, you will be praised and highly respected for trying, plus you will start to learn Spanish faster than you can imagine.
My best advice is to do the proper research, find out which learning Spanish abroad program best suits your needs, make sure you are happy with what the program promises and the location you are going to.
