One of the most obvious benefits of learning Spanish is because it is easy.
Spanish is not difficult to pronounce or spell.
Spanish is a phonetic language, meaning that words are spelled just like they are pronounced. And as an English speaker.

There are so many words in the Spanish vocabulary that are either the same as the English translation, or at least extremely similar and have the same meaning.
There are a vast numbers of words in Spanish that are either extremely similar to those in English, whether they are spelled the same or a little bit different. Having said that, you already know quite a bit of Spanish. The term for this is cognates. There are pure, true and false Spanish cognates, the pure and the true cognates being the words you will already be familiar with.
Learning Spanish, will also open up the doors to other languages, such as French or Italian, and not to mention, you may even improve your own English skills, especially if English is not your native language. Also, once you learn one language the doors will just open up so much easier to learn more languages. And they don't have to be similar to Spanish or even have Latin based roots. Language learning will just get easier for you.
Spanish culture, is another one of the benefits of learning Spanish. Not only will you learn Spanish, but you will also get a better understanding of the diversity of the arts and culture of the Spanish speaking world. Think about the extreme varieties of food and recipes. With that many Spanish speaking countries on the list, there is almost too much Spanish food to mention. Learn Spanish. Why? Haven't I given you enough reasons yet?
What about the Spanish musicians? I'll name a few of those who jump to my mind first, Gloria Estefan from Cuba, Enrique Iglesias from Spain, Shakira from Columbia. Spanish speaking actors such as Penelope Cruz from Spain, Antonio Banderas from Spain, and Salma Hayak from Mexico the list goes on...
Nothing feels better than to able to help someone else who is struggling. Say you are in a store and there is a woman in there who is really having a hard time communicating with the clerk because her English is so poor and her accent is just too strong for him to understand her.
Imagine if you are just a beginner, but you have been working on you Spanish lessons for a month now and you feel pretty confident in yourself, you walk up to her and ask ¿puedo ayudar usted? (may I help you?) Can you just picture the smile she will have on her face when you say that?
Studies have shown that those who learn another language actually improve their memory over time. It also expands your thought processes as each language consists different expressions, causing you to think more often.
So those are just some of the benefits of learning Spanish. There are so many reasons to study Spanish. So let's get started learning some Spanish vocabulary and have some fun!
